Big Ben’s Female Fighters
This page is dedicated to Big Ben’s female fighters who have represented our gym with great distinction over the years.
Mirelle Walford
(6W-7L-1D, IKBF Victorian Kickboxing Champion)
Mirelle competed as a professional fighter in kickboxing and boxing.
The
highlights of her career was going the distance in a 4-round war with Kina
Malpartida (current WBA super featherweight world champion).
Mirelle’s final fight was in 2006 when she won the IKBF Victorian Kickboxing
title by way of a 3rd round TKO.

Cindy
Isaacs
(5W-4L-1D)
Despite having a good fight record, Cindy was an even better fighter than her record reflects. At 51kg, Cindy was often giving away 5–7 kgs due to lack of opportunities in the lower weight divisions.
As an amateur boxer, Cindy had no apparent weaknesses – excellent footwork, good head movement and strong combinations. Cindy is one of the most “technically correct” boxers I have trained.

Bridget
Ure
(5 fights)
Bridget
was one of the most dedicated boxers I have trained over the years.
Bridget was a “fitness machine” and always performed well in her fights.

Leanne
Peck
(1 win)
Leanne was a southpaw Filipino fighter – Big Ben’s own Manny Pacquiao. Leanne’s commitment to her career outside of boxing resulted in her retiring after one fight.
Belinda “Doc” Duggan
(3W-4L-2D, IKBF Victorian Kickboxing Champion)
Belinda competed as an amateur boxer and professional kickboxer.
There
was the Bowe-Holyfield trilogy, the Barrera-Morales trilogy, and then there
was Belinda’s 3-fight episode with Laura Palermo.
In their first fight, Laura defeated Belinda on points. The second fight ended
in a draw. The third fight Belinda won on points for the IKBF Victorian Title.
Belinda
fought some of the best Australian boxers on today’s scene, including Susie
Ramadan (OPBF female super bantamweight champion)
and Maria Pittiglio.

Candice
Revuelta
(3W-2L)
Similar
to Cindy Isaacs, Candice was one
of the best technical boxers I have trained.
In addition to her 3 outstanding wins, another
highlight for Candice was when she fought one of
Australia’s leading female fighters in Jessica
Tollhurst at the Women’s National Championships
in 2008.
Despite losing the bout, Candice’s
performance exceeded what anyone would expect
of a fighter having their second fight.

Cassie
Pruden
(2W-5L)…..and still going
Last, but definitely not least, is Cassie Pruden.
Cassie
is a very skilled boxer. With limited opportunities to fight, Cassie has taken
on the best female boxers just to get a chance to get in the ring.
Although Cassie’s attitude of “never saying no to a fight” has hurt her record
in the short-term,
over the journey I expect that it will result in her becoming one of the best
female professional boxers in Australia.
